Righteous Fire Fire Trap

3.27 Keepers – Day 10 – November 9, 2025
New league, still 40+ years old wrists, still no WASD, so let’s face it! It’s time to RF again… But let’s try on the Elementalist! I know, I might die a bit more but I will have a bit more DPS; and I have not tried the golems since they buffed them in 3.26. Campaign should be a breeze. Red maps might be a bit challenging but hey! if I manage to get some currency, there is an end game scaling on golems using the Dark Monarch Helmet, Primordial Bond cluster nodes and super high ES. Let’s manifest a super lucky drop! Well, back to the campaign first, I will follow the levelling guide from ds lily mixed with Pohx recommendation too.
This was my train of thoughts before league start and everything went according to the plan beside the super lucky drop. So this build is life only and resemble the more popular life version from Pohx.
I levelled up with the classing Holy Flame totem, Rolling Magma and Flame Wall until RF and Fire Trap in Act 2. I completed the campaign in slight less than 8 hours, which is for a league start, pretty good for me. I didn’t die and started early mapping at level 70.
As soon as I had enough life regen, I used Flesh and Stone instead of Vitality
To help with clear, I used the Legacy of Fury boots which I bought for 2c, until I made enough currency to buy the Oriath’s End flask for like 6 div. To help further with clear, I also used the Fan the flames notable on a medium burning cluster to proliferate the ignites until I got the glove implicit to replace it.
I started diying here and there when progressing to yellow maps, mostly with the breach mini boss once stabilized, Blight bosses, or dodgy map mods. So beside investing in more life, I also got the notable Enduring Composure on a small armour cluster to get some Endurance charges. This helps a little bit.
Around the same time I was able to get my first 2 stones, I got to level 91, my gems reached lvl 20 and I killed the Eater of World and Searing Exarch after 24h and total of 25 deaths, a lot on Searing Exarch because the ball phase with golems is BS.
My main concern to continue progression was my defences so I made sure to cover ailments with Pantheon (Brine King, Abberath), then I switched from Purity of Elements to Malevolence, and from Flesh and Stone to Tempest Shield. I specced into more max fire res, bough a jewel with +2, then I bought a life gained on block shaper shield to replace my cheap Rise of the Phoenix shield. I specced into Glancing Blows. All of this got me to 75/74 block while maintenaing my 90% fire res, and more dps with malevolence! I did loose full ailments immunity but it felt so much better!
I automated my flasks. I got some better grafts: a Hardening Uulgraft for the Tender Embrace and a Molten Xophgraft for the Heart of Flame , both of them being defensive buffs. I got some better gear here and there. I completed my atlas. I scry Defiled Cathedral to Toxic Sewers. And I finally got my last 2 stones. I didn’t die on Uber Elder but Maven was a bitch!
I played some more and I’m currently farming to maybe switch to a ES and golem stacking version. So this is the life version snapshot at lvl 96, 56 hours. 52 deaths and 276k kills.
At the end of the day, I think it’s not as good as the Chieftain. Yes, you have more DPS, it’s a faster campaign, but it cost so much more as you need to buy Oriath’s End instead of getting explode from your ascendancy.
