Corrupting Cry Earthshatter Totems
Early Access – Day 21 – December 27, 2024
To be honest, I wasn’t excited with shouting a warcry and use totems again but my already levelled up Warbringer shared so much gear, tree and gems with this build that I had to give it a try.
I saw Steelmage play this Warbringer with Corrupting Cry for clearing and Earthshatter totems for bossing and I followed this guide on Maxroll from Cptn Garbage.
I respecced my Warbringer but I only played a few hours as I didn’t enjoy the playstyle where you feel like you always running after the mob you knock back yourself. Single target totems use so much life to cast that you feel you’re committing suicide especially being naked (no shield, no block) on weapon swap. ALso, after playing a Deadeye for a week, it felt so slow.
I do think it’s a good build despite my poor rating below and I might consider it againf or a tanky league starter on a budget.

What I liked
- Tanky while mapping – block cap, max res, life recovery
- Cheap – can be put together for probably less than 1-2 div
What I disliked
- Knockback – while it’s super defensive, I didn’t like running after the mobs knocked back by the Seismic Cry
- Slow – Movement speed and map clearing, especially that you’re walking and not running while shooting your Seismic Cry
- Not tanky enough on bosses
- when you weapon swapped to your 2 two-hand maces for the totems, you loose your only defensive layer and can be one-shot
- everytime you cast your totem, it uses so much life that you need to hit your life flask which add to the “not feeling tanky”
Would I play it again?
Maybe on a league start scenario as it is fairly tanky and cheap to build.
