Spell Totem Spark

0.4 FOTV – Day 13 – Dec. 24, 2025
Since the announcement, I was curious to try the new Spell Totem, but I wasn’t sure how to enjoy the playstyle with the charge generation. The totem guy is tatiantel2 and he shared a workable Spark totem build so I respecced my Druid Oracle to try it out.
The mandatory gear for this build is the Redflare Conduit body armour with the Cultivated mod Gain a Power Charge every Second if you haven’t lost Power Charges Recently (obtained via using a Vaal Cultivation Orb on a corrutped item). This mod alongside the keystone Resonance on the Passive Tree allow you to get Endurance charge instead of Power charge and never loose them. You can use them to summon a totem, wait a second, and summon another one, etc.
Tatiantel2 uses Spark, I saw a video from Diregray using Comet but I didn’t like the delay. Between the time you summon the totem, the spell is casted and the comet hit the ground, the enemy can be somewhere else. This is countered with using Temporal Chains Blasphemy to slow down the enemies, but I preferred using Blasphemy Enfeeble and keep with a punchier Spark setup.
DPS is scaled with projectile speed, crit, gem levels. Tatiantel2 use life, ES and mana to scale is defences. I chose to only use life and ES which was good enough in my opinion, but not great.
For mapping, you used Thunderstorm and Flame Wall to help with DPS unless Spark is good enough with your gear. For single target, I added a Sigil of Power in my weapon set 2, then Elemental Weakness and Frost Bomb.
I played about 15 hours, got from lvl 88 to 92, died 11 times. Once I got more ES and Convalescence, I was rarely dying. It’s a good build, but not great. I liked the high DPS and the auto-targetting but you still need to play a bunch of other spells that you need to target to optimize your DPS. There is also a delay to summon your 4 totems and the screen is overcrowded with effects that you can’t see shit! I might try Spell Totem again but probably not in this configuration.

Builds Comparaison
Impossible to be fair but I’m trying my best. I’m trying to get all characters to lvl 90-ish, 3-4 ascendancies, 6L, gem level 18-19
What I liked
- Single target – pretty high DPS and almost no targetting
- Playstyle – I always enjoyed the totem playstyle
What I disliked
- Visibility – many stuff happening with all the skills. Makes it hard to see what’s happening
- 2-3 butons playstyle when mapping – Get’s tiring, and it’s even more when bossing!
- Defences – it was ok once I had a bigger ES pool and Convalescence but it’s not comfortable
- Slow – not a lot of MS on this side of the tree
- Budget – the body armour is 6-8 div and each piece of gear with both life, ES, all the res, attributes, DPS mod get expensive
Would I play it again?
Spell totem maybe but not spark as too many things on the screen and so many buttons
