Heralds Stacking Penance Brand Of Dissipation
3.27 Keepers – Day 29 – November 28, 2025
Before shutting off for this league, I seized the opportunity to quickly respec my Elementalist to try the new Lost Unity ring which gives the new Herald of the Hive. Paired with the Penance Brand of Dissipation, it makes for a good all rounder character.
I followed Manni’s Maxroll planner roughly.
My character is somewhere between his similar to his Starter version. I did re-use a bunch of my ES gear to make a Life/ES hybrid. I stayed glancing blow and ES gained on block where he goes full life and full block. I think it’s better but I was too lazy to buy all the gear.
I also didn’t get Lycia Bloodline and the Farewell to Flesh notable as I hate Sanctum so my version of the character is way worse that what you can do. I just wanted to see if I would like the new herald.
And I didn’t like it. Herald of the hive didn’t feel powerful enough to play like an autobomber and you rely a lot on your brand. Also the pulsing sound of the herald of the hive is annoying that you have to turn it off in hideout. So it’s pretty much a Penance Brand of Dissipation build which I had played in 3.23. Brand is one of my favourite playstyle but this particular brand pulse big flashy blue spheres which give me headaches so I stopped investing or playing the build.

My experience in video
What I liked
- DPS – pretty high DPS on a brand is great because it’s pretty clsoe to 100% up time
- Good visibility – again, brand playstyle let you see ground degen
What I disliked
- Herald of Hive DPS – As said earlier, not good enough to play as an autobomber
- Blue pulsating brand – the penance brand of dissipation gave me a headache
- Expensive – You can make a wway better version of this build but it’s pretty meta so pretty expensive.
- Defences – It’s my fault, I would need to build this better and closer to Manni’s recos.
Would I play it again?
NO, pulsing of the herald of hive is annoying in hideout, dmg felt meh so you have to play the brand on every small rare or tanky magic. The brand pulsing blue circle gave me headaches
