Golem Stacking ES Righteous Fire

3.27 Keepers – Day 18 – November 17, 2025

My goal for my 3.27 league starter Righteous Fire Fire Trap Elementalist was always to try golem stacking and switch to high ES. I didn’t follow a build guide, I just looked at what people did on poeninja and tweaked it to my liking.

It revolves around the stat: Increased Effect of Buffs granted by your Golems in order to scale:

  • Life regen and increased defences (ES) via the Stone Golem
  • DOT multi and chaos res via the Chaos Golem
  • Increased damage and AOE via the Flame Golem
  • Less important Attack and Cast Speed via the Lightning Golem

You can find this stat here:

  • Primordial Bond notable. You can find it on a large minion cluster and on Megalomaniac. This notable also has the stat increased Damage per Summoned Golem which is the reason why we try to get as many golems as possible. We have 2 large clusters and 3 Megalomaniac (the expensive part of the build 22 div each of them when I bought them) to get 5 times Primordial Bond.
  • Primordial Eminence Jewel.
  • Golem Commander on the passive tree.
  • Liege of the Primordial Elementalist ascendancy.

I got to 18 golems to stack the % increased damage give by Primordial Bond with:

The rest of this offensive scaling is the standard gem level and fire DOT multi. But also high ES which scale our RF and Pain Attunement for our Fire Trap as we’re low life (it won’t scale our RF).

A lot of players on poeninja won’t even use Fire Trap or Scorching Ray and only focus on Righteous Fire. I wanted to keep Fire Trap to help with single target. This is why I used these Shaper gloves to give a pseudo 2 extra link to the Fire Trap as I needed the helmet slot for The Dark Monarch.

Regarding defences, I relied on:

  • High ES gear which is scaled via the stone golem and increased defences
  • Chaos damage does not bypass Energy Shield with the Coruscating Elixir flask and The Traitor keystone via Balbala Brutal Restraint jewel to not die from chaos damage. I tried with Shavronne’s Wrappings first but getting a high ES 6 links is so cheap this league that I preffered the flask to get an extra 2k-3k ES.
  • Zealot’s Oath to regen ES instead of life. And Eternal Youth to recharge life instead of ES as we use all of our skills with Lifetap still.
  • Max fire res
  • Hardening Uulgraft and Tender Embrace giving endurance charges when on Low Life (we are)
  • Molten Xophgraft giving Heart of Flame (big shield)
  • Block cap with ES gained on block Shaper shield

Compared to my original life build, it trippled my damage and maybe double my defences. It allowed me to do juiced T16, some T17, The Feared and pinnacle bosses more comfortably. At the end of the day, I don’t think it’s worth it as for the same price you can do a faster mapper or a stronger bosser. You can probably do a more tanky RF character with Chieftain too (check Pohx for that), but if you’re stubborn like me and want to play RF with Elementalist, it was satisfying!

My experience in video

What I liked

  • DPS – pretty high DPS on a non targetting RF wrists easy build
  • Defense – Pretty tanky, barely died beside T17 bosses
  • Good visibility – sure mapping is not great with all the explosions but when fighting boss, it’s pretty good
  • Feels great – chain explosion is always great
  • Endless scaling – I could continue playing this build, try to fit a 3rd cluster, ramp more ES, etc…

What I disliked

  • Coruscating Elixir – My first time playing with it, I always knew I wouldn’t like it so I had stayed away from builds using it. It’s not as bad as I thought but you need to make sure your flask is on before mapping, died a couple of times because of it.
  • Recovery – High ES pool is great but poor regen and can use a life flask, or Vaal Discipline (Eternal Youth). I had played with Enduring Cry which was ok but I had to remove it because of…
  • Socket pressure – So many gems to use and not enough space
  • Expensive – Getting more Megalomaniac would help but it’s so expensive!

Would I play it again?

This exact version maybe not, golem stacking yes for another skill, but for RF, I don’t think it’s the most efficient way to build
